Dobermann and Dachshund Breeder in Italy – Di Casa Ellen
Di Casa Ellen — ENCI-FCI Recognised Breeder in Mesola, Ferrara
Di Casa Ellen was born from a family passion for dogs and from a clear approach to breeding: knowing our dogs thoroughly, selecting carefully and personally following every litter.
We breed Dobermanns and Miniature and Kaninchen Dachshunds, both smooth-haired and long-haired, with particular attention to health, temperament, conformation and the quality of bloodlines.
Our kennel is located in Mesola, in the province of Ferrara, in the Po Delta area of northern Italy, within easy reach of both Emilia-Romagna and the neighbouring Veneto region.
Our goal is not simply to breed puppies, but to develop a consistent breeding programme over time and to help each puppy find the family best suited to its individual characteristics.

Our Dobermann Breeding Programme
Our Miniature and Kaninchen Dachshunds
Elegant, intelligent, sensitive and deeply devoted to its family, the Dobermann is a breed that has been part of the history of Di Casa Ellen for many years.
In our breeding programme, we focus on health, conformation and, above all, a balanced temperament, carefully evaluating the pedigrees and characteristics of the dogs selected for breeding.
We personally follow every litter from birth and pay particular attention to our puppies' early experiences and socialisation.
The Dachshund combines a remarkable personality with its small size: intelligent, curious, determined and capable of forming a very close bond with its family.
Di Casa Ellen breeds Miniature and Kaninchen Dachshunds, both smooth-haired and long-haired.
In our Dachshund breeding programme, we consider health, temperament, conformation and breed type to be fundamental. We carefully plan each mating and personally follow the development of our puppies.
Our Approach to Breeding
For us, breeding means taking on a responsibility that goes far beyond the birth and placement of a puppy.
It means knowing our dogs and their pedigrees, making responsible breeding decisions, paying close attention to health and temperament, and dedicating time to the puppies as they grow.
It also means getting to know the people who wish to welcome one of our dogs into their family.
Before placing a puppy, we prefer to speak with prospective families, understand their expectations and lifestyle, and clearly explain the characteristics and needs of their chosen breed.
Our relationship with the family does not end when the puppy leaves Di Casa Ellen.
We remain available afterwards to provide guidance and support throughout the puppy's development.
